UNNIKRISHNAN,ODUVIL

Mother: Parukkutty Amma
Oduvil Unnikrishnan was an Indian film actor, who was known for his versatile acting skills, shown in his portrayal of classical ancient aristocratic personalities in Malayalam cinema with his unique provincial linguistic style, expressions and dialect. He was noted as a serious as well as comic actor. Unnikrishnan was interested in music since his childhood, and he learned vocal music and percussion instruments like mridangam and tabla. With his knowledge of music instruments, he joined some orchestra groups. He later joined renowned Malayalam theatres like K.P.A.C. and Kerala Kalavedi as a tablist. Oduvil Unnikrishnan started his career in the film industry in the late 1970s with a role in Darshanam, directed by P. N. Menon. Thereafter, he has acted in more than 400 films. He won the Kerala State Film Award for Best Actor once and for Best Supporting Actor twice. He also composed music for an album named Parasuram Express. He passed away on 27th May 2006.

K P Unnikrishnan is a veteran political leader and former union minister. Educated at Christian College, Madras, Presidency College, Madras and Government Law College, Madras, he was initially associated with the Socialist Party and Praja Socialist Party and was the Founder-Secretary of Democratic Students Union, Madras. In 1960, he became a member of Congress party. He served as President, NSUI; President Madras University Students Council. He was elected to the Lok Sabha for seven terms consecutively (from 1971 to1996) representing Vadakara constituency. Unnikrishnan first represented the constituency in 1971 as an Indian National Congress candidate. He remained unbeaten in the next five LS polls (1977, 1980, 1984, 1989, and 1991) despite switching over to the Indian National Congress (Urs) in 1980 and later to Indian Congress (Socialist) in 1984. He had also served as the Minister for Telecommunications in the V P Singh Cabinet. He was a Member in the Indian Delegation to the Inter-Parliamentary Union, Paris 1971, Parliamentary Delegations to U.K., Indian Delegation to U.N. General Assembly 1975-76. He attended World Congress for Peace, Moscow, 1973; International Dialogue on Peace, Disarmament and Development in Vienna, 1982; and represented Government of India in the Presidential Installation Ceremonies in Chile, and Brazil in June,

Nair FRCS (Eng.), FRCS(Ed) , FETCS. is a versatile genius in the field of heart operation.
He was serving in the Yorkshire Heart Foundation Hospital as a Consultant and Cardiothoracic Surgeon, Leeds Teaching Hospitals & Sen. Lecturer in Surgery, Leeds University UK from 1988 - 2012. Performed the 1st adult & paediatric Cardiac Transplants at Killingbeck Hospital, Leeds in 1989. A number of new surgical techniques were described by me such as mini-sternotomy for minimally invasive cardiac surgery, mitral valve repair using made to measure Gortex rings, heart failure surgery by LVVR, Dacron tube wrap repair of aortic aneurysm and a large series of LAD endarterectomy. I was a member of the intercollegiate Board of examiners for FRCS(CTh) and RCSEd examiner for FRCS & MRCS. Member of the editorial board of Surgical Technology International. I was a Trustee for Heart Transplant Fund and the National Heart Research Fund, Leeds and a member of the Leeds West Ethics Committe England.

Mother: Vijayalakshmi.Urvashi is an actress who has performed multifaceted roles in her career. She is also a television host and a producer. Her real name is Kavitha Ranjini. Both her elder sisters, Kalpana Priyadarshini and Kalaranjini, are also film actresses.
Urvashi was a prominent lead actress of the 1980s and 1990s mainly in Malayalam and Tamil films. She acted in around 500 films in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi. She started her acting career as a child artist, at the age of 8, in a Malayalam movie Vidarunna Mottukal, released in 1977, her sister Kalpana also debuted in the same movie. She has written the story of the films Ulsavamelam and Pidakkozhi Koovunna Noottandu, the latter of which was also produced by her. She won the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress. She has won the Kerala State Film Award for Best Actress a record five times, which includes three consecutive wins from 1989 to 1991. She has also won two Tamil Nadu State Film Awards.of England.
